Topgrass 26N
Cost Effective Nitrogen Fertiliser
Sources of Sulphur & Nitrogen
The Nitrogen source in Topgrass 26N is Ammonium Chloride. This is an efficient and very effective source of Nitrogen, which can be used throughout the season and is particularly suitable for grassland. Because the Nitrogen content (26% w/w) is in the Ammonium form it can be applied earlier in the Spring with reduced risks of leaching.
In the current market Ammonium Chloride is about 40% cheaper than Ammonium Nitrate on a £/unit basis. In fact there is no other Nitrogen product on the market which is more cost effective than Topgrass 26N.
We have sold thousands of tonnes of this material each year for the last 18 years, mainly to repeat customers who are happy with the results and cost savings. However, the supply is finite and early booking is recommended.
Since the particle size varies from powder to large granule, in the past we have recommend that it is applied with lime-type spreaders such as Bredal or Ag Gator. However, since 2004 we have been selling to end-users rather than the trade, and have been pleased to see how easily it is being applied with farm-type spreaders - Amazones, Kuhns, Vicon Vari-spreaders, etc. In fact we are now happy to give the following guarantee:-
If after discussing with us the practicalities of applying it, buying a load, and making a reasonable effort to spread it, you really cannot get on with it we will collect it and refund you in full for all unused product.
In the 2007 season of 100+ retail loads, just 1 was returned.
